FIRST- AID AND GAS-TESTING EXAMINATION :
      Possession of a valid first-Aid Certificate of the Standard of St. John Ambulance Association (India) is a must for each candidate before appearing at the Board’s Examination.
      The institute offers facilities for First-Aid training and examination at its own centre. Possession of a Gas – Testing Certificate is also essential before a candidate is allowed to appear at Overman’s Certificate examination. Gas – Testing examination is also held by the Board from time to time at different centers. The D.G.M.S. has approved this Institute since 1991, as one of the centers for this purpose.
    The institute has a well equipped gas – testing chamber where the students get through practice for gas-testing.

   LIBRARY :

      The Institute has a well furnished and spacious library with rich collection of books on Mining, Mining Surveying, other engineering and subjects . It also subscribes to various magazines, periodical and newspapers for use of students and the staff.

   HOSTEL :
There are three hostels of the Institute lying in its vicinity which accommodate all the students. The hostels are well furnished and have been provided with electricity, fans water supply, common-room etc.

   CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES :
Sports outfits are provide by the Institute for physical / Personality development of the students. Indoor games and cultural activities are organized in all the hostels of the Institute.

  HEALH CARE :
Services of registered qualified medical practitioners are available at the Institute to look after the medical and health – care needs of the students.
